2002 Seat

Does anyone know if the seat from a 2002 Savage will fit my l985 Savage. The reason being is I find it awfully hard on my tailbone after a couple of hours riding. The 2002 seat appears to be flatter. Any comments on the gel seat by Corbin to solve this problem.
